The Heart — Cynthia1929 – 2021
Cynthia Care is named in honour of our family's late matriarch, Cynthia — a woman whose compassion, warmth and unconditional support shape everything we do.
Cynthia's home was more than just a house and home for her family; it was a sanctuary for those in need of safety, connection, and belonging.
Known for her open-door policy, she welcomed everyone with kindness, offering a space free from judgment, where acceptance and understanding thrived.
Her tradition of weekly Sunday lunches exemplified her commitment to nurturing relationships and fostering a sense of unity. These gatherings were more than shared meals — they were moments of laughter, warmth, and encouragement, where love and appreciation for one another were celebrated.
It was not uncommon to see Cynthia packing up extra dishes to deliver to neighbours or families facing financial struggles. Her generosity created a comfortability in others, making her a trusted and approachable figure in the community.
